GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT
The Global Environment is a reflection of the human nature. Therefore, the quality of environment becomes the direct responsibility of everybody – both individually and collectively. Only by befriending nature can we achieve lasting well-being for everyone.
But unfortunately, everyone is now a slave to the modern life. Man has turned this world into an infinite world of sorrow and misery. There is so much violence and discord in human minds that nature too has started to strike in the form of powerful storms, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes etc. Poisonous feelings in the hearts have also poisoned the air, water and soil. Greed, too, has added to this environmental crisis. In the past people took from nature only what was needed – not more. But now humans are plundering Earth’s resources for selfish profit.
Humans have become so callous that even the prospect of disastrous climatic changes is not enough to persuade them to change their wasteful and unsustainable way of living.
The Natural environment seems to have had enough and is not prepared to take this battering at the hands of humans for much longer. It is revolting through change in weather patterns that are affecting human life in many parts of the world. If humans continue with their present ways, nature will take it upon itself to set things right and restore the planet’s ecological environment through more severe climatic changes, global warming, air pollution, ozone layer depletion, deforestation, soil erosion and other ecological catastrophes.
We have to accept the fact that all types of pollution have their origin and initiation in the human mind. Mental pollution is the root cause of every conceivable pollution. To set things right we therefore need to set our minds right by valuing and respecting our own existence and the existence of nature. This can be achieved by diving into our inner silent space and create peaceful, powerful and purposeful thoughts.
